Exhibition of Still Photography Opened at 11th Global Festival of Journalism

Noida:  The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera. Photography is by nature a documentary art. On the occasion of 11th Global festival of Journalism Noida 2023, a photography exhibition titled “Phototatv” was presented by the students of School of Still Photography of Asian Academy of Film and Television & International Journalism Centre.

“I have always believed that still photography is the base of many creative arts. It enhances the aesthetic sense and guides you to think systematically. We made it a point to have a subject Still Photography in every creative course including Cinema, Journalism, Fashion, Animation, Tourism etc. Now I can proudly say that we have a separate school  under  AAFT School of Still Photography which has picked up very well,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios while lighting the ceremonial lamp in the new wing of Marwah Studios.

Alfredo Caldera, Charge D’ Affaires Embassy of Venezuela,  Zena Chung, Social worker from South Korea, Heikki Ranta Chairman Finland Chamber of Commerce, Narendra Gupta Senior Journalist from Mumbai, Nida Ahmed renowned TV Presenter, Kumar Rakesh Senior Journalist, Varun Suri Model & Actor, Dr. Abbas Naseri Tahiri, Correspondent Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, Sunil Dang former member of Prasar Bharti also spoke on the subject.

The dignitaries present there appreciated the work which was presented under  theme Guerrilla warfare in Kashmir, Massive Fire in Chandni Chowk, Loneliness, Crowd etc. A coffee table book consisting of these pictures were suggested by the guests. The event was supported by Asian Unity Alliance, AAFT University, World Peace Development and Research Foundation, and International Film and TV Research Centre.
