Tashkent: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited Sandeep Marwah recently visited Tashkent the capital of Uzbekistan to study tourism of the country.

Talking to the press at Hotel Hyatt, Tashkent Marwah appreciated that Uzbekistan is attracting more Indians day by day. “ I hope we will be able to bring two countries much more closer in next few years. Asian Institute of Hospitality And Tourism has added Uzbekistan into its studies too,” said Marwah.

Uzbekistan is a country with potential for an expanded tourism industry. Many of its Central Asian cities were main points of trade on the Silk Road, linking Eastern and Western civilizations.

Today the museums of Uzbekistan store over two million artifacts, evidence of the unique historical, cultural and spiritual life of the Central Asian peoples that have lived in the region. Uzbekistan attracts tourists with its historical, archeological, architectural and natural treasures.
