Indian Army Day Celebrated at AAFT University

Noida: Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year in India, in recognition of Field Marshal Kodandera. M. Cariappa’s (then a Lieutenant General) taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Fransis Bucher , the last British Commander In Chief of India, on 15 January 1949 informed Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University at an event organised, in association with Scout Guide Organization, to pay gratitude to the Indian Army.

The day is celebrated in the form of parades and other military shows in the national capital New Delhi as well as in all headquarters. On 15 January 2021, India celebrated its 73rd Indian Army Day in New Delhi. Army Day marks a day to salute the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and its citizens

“The Army is the true nobility of our country. Discipline is the soul of an Army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to all of the weak, and esteem to all. The soldier is the Army. No Army is better than its soldiers. The soldier is also a citizen. In fact, the highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one’s country. On the battlefield, the military pledges to leave no soldier behind. As a nation, let it be our pledge that when they return home, we leave no veteran behind,” Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chief Scout For India read quotes to motivate the young Indians.
